Abstract


Livestock production is estimated at 119.3 billion pounds in 2015, representing 37.33% of the value of agricultural production in Egypt, which is about 319.6 billion pounds. Animal products are the source of animal protein, which is the source of amino acids needed to build the human body. The problem of the study is the lack of sufficient data on the markets of live animals in Egypt in general, and Sharqia in particular, and therefore marketing rings are not clear, especially with the lack of security and technical control and veterinary in most markets, which may facilitate price distortions in the final product For live animals. The study aims at identifying the current status of the live animal markets in Sharkia Governorate, in addition to the development of live animals in the governorate during the period 2005-2015, as well as the relative importance of administrative centers in the conservation of living animals in their different types. And a map of the markets of live animals in Sharkia Governorate.
