Abstract


This research aimed to Determining knowledge and implementation needs of tomato farmers to agricultural control recommendations for tomato leaf miner, and determining the relationship between independents variables of respondents and knowledge and implementation needs to agricultural control recommendation for it. This research was done on 300 respondents of tomato farmers in four villages of sugar beets directorate of new Nobaria as a random sample. Data were collected using a prepared personal questionnaire during April and May 2016. Data were analyzed using tabular form, and simple correlation coefficient. Findings were as follows: The majority of respondents (84%) were located in two categories of knowledge needs which were high and average to agricultural control recommendations for tomato leaf miner. The majority of respondents (83%) were arrange in average concerning implementations need to agricultural control recommendations for tomato leaf miner.There was negative correlation relationship between educational level and number of expertise years of respondents in cultivating tomato and knowledge need degree to agricultural control recommendations. There was negative correlation relationship between number of experience years of in cultivating tomato and implementation information needs of respondents to agricultural control recommendations.
